Author Guidelines

GUIDELINES FOR ARTICLE CONTRIBUTORS

The editors of Sistem Informasi dan Informatika (SIMIKA) Journal welcome article submissions in accordance with the following guidelines:

  1. Sistem Informasi dan Informatika (SIMIKA) Journal accept articles on information system and informatics studies in computer information system.
  2. Articles are written in Bahasa using academic language along with standard academic writing structure and composition. They are typed 1.5 spaced in a quarto paper size (A4) and in MS Word doc format, using Times New Roman font 10pt, between 12-15 pages in length including abstract, references, pictures, and tables.
  3. Articles have not been published or accepted for publication, or are being considered for publication elsewhere.
  4. Types of articles suitable for publication include the following; research reports (laboratory, field, achieves), conceptual ideas, studies, theory applications.
  5. Research report articles should contain: (a) Title ; (b) Full name of contributor, institution and email (s) without title(s); (c)Abstract; (d)Keywords; (e) Introduction without heading, which includes review of related literature and research purpose; (f) Method; (g) Discussion  (h) Conclusions; (i) References; and (j) Appendix, if any.
  6. Reference list format is based on APA (American Psychological Association) style. Reference list should appear at the end of the article and includes only literatures actually cited in the manuscripts. References are ordered alphabetically and chronologically. When writing a reference list, please use the following conventions:

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
